BHS track teams shine at Paul Schwartz Invitational

On Friday Jan. 13, the Belleville High School Boys and Girls Indoor Track team competed at the Paul Schwartz Invitational at Fairleigh Dickson University.

 At the meet Junior Arnelle Ackon took 2^nd place in the Varsity 300 Meters with a time of 43.1 seconds. Arnelle’s time set a new Belleville High School record. The old record of 43.5 was set during the 2007/2008 season by former State Sectional Champion Sherece Shabazz.

Kristy and Jamie Bono took first and second place in the Girls Varsity mile with times of 5:47.7 and 5:49.7.

Other Belleville Medal winners were:

The boys Varsity 4 by 800 relay of Steve Sanabria, Leman Kaifa, Gursihram Singh and Nick Costa  finished in second place with a time of 8:54.6.

The girls Varsity 4 by 800 relay of Kristy Bono, Jada Clark, Tatiana Gomez, and Jamie Bono finished in third place with a time of 10:59.60.

The boys Varsity 4 by 400 relay of Steve Sanabria, Leman Kaifa, Gursihram Singh and Nick Costa  finished in second place with a time of 3:58.8.

The girls Varsity 4 by 400 relay of Tatiana Gomez, Analee Delgado, Jada Clark and Shania Piscitelli finished in 5^th place with a time of 5:01.60.

Shania Piscitelli finished in 3^rd place in the 55 Meter dash with a time of 7.8.

PJ Gencarelli finished in 4^th place in the freshman 800 Meter run with a time of 2:23.5.

Estefany Tello finished in 1^st place in the freshman 800 Meter run with a time of 2:43.1.

Gracielle Luna finished in 5^th place in the freshman 300 Meter dash with a time of 51.1.

The freshman boys 4 by 400 of PJ Gencarelli, Douglas Fonseca, Connor Smith and Erik Arroyo won 4^th place medals with a time of 4:14.10.

The freshman girls 4 by 400 of Estefany Tello, Gracielle Luna, Kimberly Brito, and Rosalie Rodriguez won 3^rd place medals with a time of 4:56.70.

The second girl freshman 4 by 400 team of Jessica Ojeda, Devonna Barber, Sarah Bono, and Pricilla Curri won 6^th place medals with a time of  5:18.20.
