BHS indoor track teams give good efforts at Tom Zaccone Invitational
The Belleville High School boys' and girls' indoor track and field teams gave solid efforts at the Tom Zaccone Inviational at Fairleigh Dickson University on Jan. 3.
The Belleville Girls Team was led by Kristy Bono. Kristy Bono set a new school record in the 1000 Meters while finishing in fourth place. Kristy’s time was 3:20.1, the old record was 3:23.8 set by Joanne Campione during the 2005 Indoor Season.
Arnelle Ackon took 6th place in the Varsity 55 Meter dash with time of 7.6 seconds.
The boys 4 by 800 relay of Nick Costa, Gurishram Singh, Steve Sanabria, and Xavier Cuenca won 4th place medals with a time of 9:29.
The freshman boys 4 by 800 relay of PJ Gencarelli, Doug Fonseca, Connor Smith and Christian Viteri won 4th place medals with a time of 10:17..
The freshman boys 4 by 200 relay of Pj Gencarelli, Doug Fonseca, Connor Smith and Erick Arroyo won 5th place medals with a time of 1:51.
The freshman girls 4 by 800 relay of Kimberly Brito, Gracielle Luna, Marjorie Chacon and Estefany Tello won 4th place medals with a time of 12:29.
