BHS indoor track teams excel at Ridgewood Games

The Belleville High School boys’ and girls’ indoor track and field teams posted solid performances at the Ridgewood Winter Games 1 Invitational at Fairleigh Dickinson University on Jan. 27.
Arnelle Ackon took second place in the Varsity 55-meter dash with time of 7.5 seconds. Ackon  also finished in third place in the Varsity 200-meter dash with a time of 27.2 seconds.
Kristy Bono earned a fourth-place medal in the Varsity 1,600 run with a time of 5:45.2. Her twin sister Jamie earned a fifth-place medal with a time of 5:48.2.
Freshman Estefany Tello continued her amazing first season of track with a first-place finish in the Freshman 800-meter run with an excellent time of 2:41.2.
Freshman PJ Gencarelli finished in second place in the Frosh 200-meter dash with a time of 25.9.
Freshman Stephanie Ragucci finished in sixth place in the Freshman 55-meter dash.
Freshman Jessica Ojeda finished in sixth place in the Freshman 800-meter Run.
The Varsity girls’ 4x800 relay of Kristy Bono, Jamie Bono, Tatiana Gomez, and Jada Clark earned third-place medals with a time of 10:47.4.
The Varsity boys’ 4x800 relay of Nick Costa, Gurishram Singh, Steve Sanabria and Leman Kaifa earned third-place medals with a time of 9:07.7.
The Varsity boys’ 4x200 relay of Nick Costa, Gurishram Singh, Steve Sanabria, and Leman Kaifa earned third-place medals with a time of 1:39.3.
The Varsity boys’ 4x400 relay of Nick Costa, Gurishram Singh, Steve Sanabria, and Leman Kaifa earned third-place medals with a time of 3:48.7.
The freshman boys’ 4x800 relay of PJ Gencarelli, Erick Arroyo, Connor Smith and Christian Viteri won first-place medals with a time of 10:01.3.
The freshman boys’ 4x200 relay of PJ Gencarelli, Christina Viteri, Connor Smith and Erick Arroyo  earned second-place medals with a time of 1:47.1.
The freshman girls’ 4x200 relay of Kimberly Brito, Gracielle Luna, Rosalie Rodriguez and Estefany Tello earned fourth-place medals with a time of 2:05.5.
