Kamal Miller had 13 points and Keith Everett added 12 points as the Belleville High School boys' varsity basketball team held on to beat Oratory, 62-61, on Friday Jan. 13.

Nicholas Martinez had nine points and six rebounds, Tommy Rosario posted seven points and 12 rebounds, Dominique Issac had seven points and Julian Rodriguez added six points and eight rebounds for the Bucs, who improved to 5-4.

A day earlier, the Bucs lost to Verona, 55-40, at home. The Bucs led 38-37 at the end of the third quarter, but Verona outscored the Bucs, 18-2, in the fourth quarter. Everett had 15 points, Rosario had 12 points and eight rebounds and Rodriguez had six points and seven rebounds.
