BHS boys' hoop team defeats Immaculate Conception

Tommy Rosario and Dominique Issac each scored 15 points and Julian Rodriguez had 14 points to lead the Belleville High School boys’ varsity basketball team to a 53-50 win over Immaculate Conception this past Tuesday in Montclair.
Issac hit four three-pointers. The Bucs improved to 8-6.
Rosario and Issac each had 11 points but the 25th-seeded Bucs lost to No. 20 seed Verona in the first round preliminary of the Essex County Tournament last Friday Jan. 27 in Verona. The score was tied at 30-30 at the end of the third quarter before Verona outscored Belleville, 18-9, in the fourth quarter. Kevin Cabello also had eight points for the Bucs..
