The Bloomfield Babe Ruth League is a nationally-chartered organization offering quality baseball for youth between the ages of 13-18 for Belleville residents. There are two divisions: Junior Division for 13-14-year-olds and Senior Division for 15-18-year-olds.
It is every high school ball players dream to make their high school team, but unfortunately there are just so many roster spots available. The Bloomfield Babe Ruth League is accepting applications through March willing to accommodate any player who did not make their freshman, JV or varsity team.
The Junior Division is open to residents of Bloomfield, Montclair, Nutley, Glen Ridge and Belleville. The Senior Division is open to residents of all Essex County towns. To register, go the the league’s website,
www.bloomfieldbaberuth.com and download the player registration form, the medical release form and code of conduct form. Complete all forms and include three proofs of residency, two color recent photos of player and copy of their birth certificate or passport along with a check of $175 to Bloomfield Babe Ruth League, P.O. Box 1096, Bloomfield, NJ 07003. You will be contacted immediately and placed on a team. The cost of registration includes a $50 volunteer bond which is refunded after parents/guardians complete six hours of service to the league.
Most games are played at Wrights Field and Upper Memorial Park in Bloomfield with play beginning in mid-April and concluding approximately at the conclusion of the public school year.
