Sylvia L. Baldwin
Sylvia L. Baldwin, 63, of Belleville died Feb. 11 at Clara Maass
Medical Center, Belleville. Born in Manila, the Philippines, Ms.
Baldwin lived in North Arlington before moving to Belleville 34
years ago. She was a registered nurse at East Orange General
Hospital. Ms. Baldwin earned her bachelor’s degree from Far Eastern
University in the Philippines and was a member of the Registered
Nurse Society of America. She is survived by her children, Stacy
Anne Hochstuhl, Stephen Graham Schwed and Spencer Philip Schwed;
her mother, Rosario Linco; a sister, Ellen Baumgartner; nine
grandchildren, and many other relatives.
Janet Nell Huron
Janet Nell Huron, nee Willis, 60, died Feb. 11 at Clara Maass
Medical Center, Belleville. Born in Wilkes Barre, Pa., Mrs. Huron
lived in West Orange. For the past five years she lived in
Belleville. She is survived by her sons, Vaughn and Scott
Huron.
Louise C. Bove
Louise C. “Honey” Bove, 72, of Belleville died Feb. 15 at Peggy
Coloney’s House at Hope Village, Scotch Plains. Born in Newark, Ms.
Bove had lived in Belleville for the past 36 years. She was a tax
services representative for ADP in Clifton and was a member of the
Belleville Senior Citizens.
George F. Lynch
George F. Lynch, a longtime resident of Belleville, died Feb. 23 at
Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge. Born in Newark, Mr. Lynch lived
in Belleville for the past 75 years. He retired as a branch manager
for A.D.T. Security Systems, Parsippany, and had formerly worked as
an electrician for A.D.T. An Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr.
Lynch was a member of the Belleville Knights of Columbus Council
835 and past president of the Columbus Institute. He was a member
of the Belleville Irish-American Association, a former Irishman of
the Year and also belonged to the Police Chiefs Association. Mr.
Lynch is survived by his wife, MaryLou; his children, Patricia
Welsh, Kathleen, George, William, and James Lynch; a sister, Grace
Ross; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Mary Nardiello
Mary Nardiello, nee Martino, 84, of Shark River Hills, Neptune,
formerly of Belleville, died Feb. 24 at the Manor By the Sea
Rehabilitation Center, Ocean Grove. Mrs. Nardiello was born and
raised in Orange and resided in Belleville for more than 40 years
before moving to Lakewood five years ago. She was employed as a
operator with Bell Telephone in Orange and the Associated Book
Service in Bloomfield before retiring more than 20 years ago. Mrs.
Nardiello was predeceased by her husband, Canio. She is survived by
her sons, Vincent Nardiello and Louis Nardiello; brother, John
Martino; and four grandchildren.
Carmelita Doronila
Carmelita C. Doronila, nee Cruzada, 78, of Belleville died Feb. 26
at home. Born in Manila, the Philippines, Mrs. Doronila lived in
Bayonne before moving to Belleville in 1983. She was a data entry
worker for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., New York City, and a
graduate of the University of San Augustine with a degree in
pharmacy. Mrs. Doronila is survived by her husband, Felipe D.; her
children, Brenda Diaz, Diana Scala and Felipe C. Doronila; her
siblings in the Philippines; six grandchildren, and two nieces.
